First off, the lady wants the baby. Wouldn't that mean she likes you enough to want to keep your child??
Second, shouldn't that mean she wants to be with you??
Third, you're very irresponsible for not taking care of something that is half your fault.
Fourth, if you're not going to stay with the girl who chose to live with the woman who is keeping your child, you should at least help care for it some way.
I, myself, would most definately get an abortion if the father was like you.

Sorry Dude, but you can't get out of this one in the way that you want to. It takes 2 to make a baby and that makes YOU the Father (like it or not).
Now, if you don't want to participate in raising your child with your girlfriend, though I DON'T recommend that, you can bow out. But you absolutely CAN NOT abandon your financial responsibilities to your child.
My advice to you is to be there for your girlfriend AND your child. Who knows? You might make a GREAT DAD! Please find the courage to stay and make it work out. Your child is going to need you as he (or she) grows up. Too many fathers today drop out of their kid's lives and it's a down right tragedy. |

Termination of Parenthood varies from state to state. If the father of the child really wants to jump ship, he would have to look up the exact laws of how it's done, or if it can. |

That's the way it should work when you employ a little logic. Unfortunately the law rarely uses logic. The bottom line: she chooses whether she aborts or not and you are stuck with child support if she chooses to have the baby. You do not have any say in the matter one way or the other (if she wanted to abort and you wanted the child, well, her decision counts). |
