we live in Illinois and need to get child support stopped on 18 year old no longer in school. she also has a child of her own

not sure of Illinois laws. not sure if they stop child support on their own, or if you have to request it. in my situation.... we had to file a motion with the court in our state to get it stopped. we found all the forms online and did exactly as it said. it also cost us over $300 to file these forms. We had no clue what to do. I finally did a lot of research online on my state and found what we had to do. which for us should be done 3 months before the child actually turns 18. I tried to research to find these papers for you- but, its so time consuming. sorry.
I would type into yahoo your county where the child support papers were done, and type family court forms or something to locate it. it should be a GOV. site you are looking for. |
