So I've been been working for a United States based company for 9 months now, overseas. We have to base our rules and policies just like those in North Carolina. We just got a new boss and has changed our policy manual stating that anyone late for work (not matter how late or even if it is your first time) will be charged "X" amount of money. Is this legal for him to do? If you can provide any website to back this up please let me know.
