Individual rights and common good embryonic stem cell research?

Ok I'm doing a project and I'm so stumped on the individual rights involving embryonic stem cell research.
For Individual rights:
My ideas were people who suffer a disease have the right to live a happy life, meaning the embryonic stem cell research would be the cure for their disease/disability.
For common good:
tax payers have rights of their own option's and they shouldn't pay for life sciences funding if they don't agree with the study of embryonic stem cell research.
Also many diseases could find treatments and cures from embryonic stem cell research.

I just need help clarifying things and what the individual rights and common good of embryonic stem cell research.

OK but when those who chose not to pay for the life sciences have a child fall ill, in a way that could be stopped by said research...can we then deny them the life of their child as they denied so many others?

Individual rights...If I go to a fertility clinic and have 6 of my eggs fertilized by my husband...and the very first one "takes" do I not possess the right to do with as I will with the other 5?...even If i chose to turn them over or sell them to life sciences?

Common good...all the illness that could be removed by this study if people stopped holding it back.

did you know embryonic stem cells can be extracted from the umbilical cord before the doctor cuts it in child birth?

It takes juts a few extra seconds for the doctor to tie the ends off and draw the fluid out with a needle. Normally this fluid is wasted, spilled on the floor.

how many lives I wonder would have been saved if the Christian movement would not have made the practice seem evil the way they did.

such fear those people live in, sad really.
