Is It Possible To Get Into Dispensories of medical marijuana if I don't live in Cali?

I'm not a resident but am visiting soon. I'm diagnosed with ADD (which according to wikipedia is an approved condition for medical marijuana) could I get into dispensories with a doctors recommendation or do I also need a card? Are there states that give out cards to non residents with a recommendation? Could I use a Vermont card in Cali? How long does the process usually take?

Yes, in most states all you need is your doctor's recommendation paperwork to get into any dispensary. Pretty sure recommendations are only for that specific state, as every state has different laws for medical marijuana. The process depends on how long it takes to see the doctor...once you get a doctor's recommendation, you're basically set to go. Unless you want to get a medical marijuana card, like they have in California. Then you have to apply with your specific county, and that'll probably take a couple weeks. Also note that the conditions that medical marijuana has been approved to work for differ per state.
