I think it's fair. He probably got a harsher sentence than the average guy would have, but then again, he's a public figure, and he was a role model for a lot of people. Plus he lied at first, and tried to cover up his guilt. To me, that warrants more punishment.
Don't forget how much money he's losing here because he can't practice and play. After 2 years away, will he be able to come back to the game? Will anyone want to hire him? In that respect, the time in jail is the least of his punishment. |

Fair.... Did you know that this question has been asked over and over on answers. Everyone has said ether fair or he needs more time in jail. |

Seems harsh, but the "average person on the street" is not a role model to thousands of kids.
And many law experts have already stated he could have avoided jail time all together if he would have told truth from the start. The lies go him in more trouble than the dogs.
I would not be surprised if he gets an early release after this all blows over, sometime over the summer when football isn't in the headlines. |

its fair. It sets an example for other people who do such a horrid crime. I am glad to see he got punished severely but he is also taking it like a man and I respect that |

Unfair, he should have been given more time.
Being a Professional Athlete does set you above the law. |

I believe it is unfair, and that he should have also be given more time. It seems like people who are stars, any time of ball players etc., seems to get off easy. But that is my opinion. |

No not at all. He should have gotten more. Several years for each dog he abused and killed. And he should be let go from the team. |

Let's go Red Sox!

I think they were pretty easy on his sentencing after all the lying. Then to top it off the idiot smokes pot. Gee that is real smart. I don't think he should be cut any breaks for breaking the laws and lying about it. He should NOT be treated any different than a bum off the streets.
I'm tired of celebrities getting breaks because they are rich. |

Somewhat. I can't believe it though. Michael Vick get sentenced 23 months for killing dogs but O.J Simpson get's away with murder. WHAT IT WRONG WITH THAT!!! |

It's unfair and unjust. Murderers don't get all of this for murdering humans. It's wrong to kill dogs but I don't think he should have got such a harsh purnishment. He's black, rich and famous. What else should we expect? I'm surprised they didn't give him life without parole. These fouls! They are just trying to destroy the guy.
If you kill a white woman you get no jail time, but if you kill dogs you get 2 years! What is better to do? What's wrong with America?! |
