In England incest formerly was not generally treated as a crime, although, along with other offences against morals, it was made punishable by death in 1650. In 1908 however, an act (The Punishment of Incest Act 1908) was passed. Yes it is illegal. I discovered that a former girlfriend regularly slept with her brother who was most probably her father too. None of them ever went to prison. Shame though coz they were a family of thieves that never ever worked for a living!!! |
