You can have any assault rifle that you can afford in California. It is a simple mater of passing the BATF background check, doing all the paperwork, getting your local law enforcement to sign off, paying the $200 transfer tax, and of course the $5000 or more for the gun. California allows personal possession of title 3 guns.
Now as to some semi auto rifle with "Nasty" features, you need to get one that is Kaliforna approved. That you can bring into the state, just remember to tell them that you have done so on the appropriate form. That form can be downloaded from the California DOJ site.
I would not bring a non approved gun into that state, unless you want to spend some close personal time observing MS13 in action behind the walls. |

Yes and no. Californian politicians betray their oaths of office. They not only don't "honor and protect" the Constitution, they betray it. They made unconstitutional laws they swore they wouldn't make.
We have the right and duty to keep military weapons so we can keep our military and police forces under our control. We are the final check in the system of checks and balances. Read Federalist Paper No. 29 and pay particular attention to concerns of the anti-Federalist "republicans." They weren't today's Republicans. Ironically they became today's Democrats, but with a truly liberal attitude not a socialist one like they have today. They authored and demanded our Bill of Rights. |
