There's a story from Washington State. It's not against the law for a teacher to sleep with an 18 year old student but it IS against school guidlines and the teacher can be fired for doing so., no arrest or legal action can be taken however. This is true in Washington right now and I'm sure will stand in every other district accross the nation. |

If the student is over the age of 18 it is not illegal. It is however against all school codes so the teacher would lose his/her job if anyone found out. |

it's against staff policy.. not sure about state and federal laws though.. it does vary from state to state, school to school.. city and..

Nope, it's legal. Just like it's legal to skip school when you are 18, if you choose to. Even without parents consent. I'm sure most schools have rules in place for this kind of behavior though. When I skipped school in high school I was sent to detention which is in the school rules even though I was 18. |
