Someone has been following me, mostly when I'm out at a bar or a party at night. They observe me enough to get details of who I was talking to/what I was doing, and relay that information (exaggurated) to a guy (out of the country) who is completely insane, has been blackmailing and manipulating me for months. His motive is merely to stir the pot between my husband (separated 15 months) and I. One more bit of info, he's trying to make my unstable husband believe I've been messing around with other men, which is not the case.
After a weekend where I've gone out, the man living in another country emails my husband with erie details of my night out. Needless to say, it's not that I really have anything to hide, I just feel completely violated by several people in this mess of a situation.
Long story short, I think I've figured out who he's hired as his local "informant." However, the only part of it I could see as being illegal is he was looking through my bedroom window last weekend, possibly taking pictures, even that might not be a huge crime. Either way, I see this guy every weekend, he frequents the restaurant I work at, I'd call us aquaintences at best. What should I do???

If you are in the u.s., there is no general law that prohibits anyone who wishes from observing you in public and reporting what he has seen to others. Some people that do that are known as newspaper reporters. The fact that your activities are probably not newsworthy to anyone except hubby changes nothing. |
