Me and my best friend always dance in our cars (when someone else is driving us, and obviously just shake around, nothing too big and we stay with our seatbelts on) just for the fun of it and to see what other people will do - usually when there is music on.
This might cause a distraction, which could cause an accident, but then again the people don't HAVE to watch us.
But I wanna know if we could get arrested or if theres a law against dancing in your car, just wondering:)

If the driver is dancing along with you he/she can get an "unsafe driving or stunting" ticket. If you are doing it at 4 in the morning and making lots of noise, you can get a "disturbing the peace ticket". If you really annoy a cop with it, he can find something to ticket you for, like a cracked windshield or tinted windows or something. Outside of that its probably not directly illegal anywhere in North America but it is kind of silly. |

Distracting other drivers is illegal, so yes you could get a ticket. And you don't HAVE to dance, as opposed to others watching you. |
