Don't have a huge go at me because i'm 13 so i don't really understand laws and things properly but say somebody went to Africa and saw a group of starving children on the brink of death with no parents could that person bring the children back to their home country to live with them or would that be illegal? What about if they lived in the same country as the child? Could they adopt? If it's legal then i would definitely do that when i'm older so please give me some information.

That would be nice, but it would be considered kidnapping in the country you took the kids from. And they would need passports and visas to get back. You can adopt, but that's a long process. But you're only 13 so there's plenty of time to save up for that and think about it. There are also charities where you can support a child from Africa by paying a certain amount each month that goes towards the child for things like food, medical care, clothes, necessities. Like compassion.com |

It's called kidnapping.
Adopting would be different, but many countries require that you live in the country where you adopt, unless of course, you're a rich celebrity who has made adopting kids their new pastime. |

no because someone out there is the legal guardian of that starving child wether it be an uncle or grandfather its still a guardian. And that is called child trafficking other countries take these kids as slaves so what makes you any different in the face of the law. Just like there are laws that you cant interfere with wild animals like feeding them or preventing a hunt same goes with starving children. Its a messed up world out there but its not up to you to decide whos not gonna live the life of a slumdog. |
