Is it legal to be verbally abused by Religious groups on College campuses because of the First Amendment?

Sorry for the badly phrased question... but what I'm trying to find out is if it is legal for religious groups to come onto a State University (say, LSU) and verbally harass students, while spreading their message. Please, no opinions, I'm looking for legalities and college rules.

Yes it is legal. The University can also order them to leave. That is legal as well.
Also depends on whether the group is comprised of LSU students or non student members.
If they are non students then they are on private property simple as that.
If they are LSU students it becomes more difficult, very well could end up in court before either side was upheld without contradiction.
This is a short answer if they are LSU students it gets very complicated.

define "verbally harass". If you are speaking of people just walking up to you and trying to start a conversation about "religion", then that is no more illegal than people trying to talk to you about political issues. If you don't want to talk to them just tell them so and walk away.

No it is not legal at all. The first amendment states our freedom of speech,but there are many conditions. In no way can you attack anyone because I their race or religion. Go to an online source that explains our rights to get all of the legal jargon that I obviously don't know :p

Speak with your college administration about this and about their policies. Some private Universities can remove these people from their campus. In some counties however, protesters and public gatherers need a permit. Bring this up in a discussion with fellow peers. In the UN, they passed a resolution that forbade the defamation of religion, meaning that no one could speak negatively of religion. That, of course, is a violation of the U.S. constitution and would never be agreed upon here.

In my county, you can press charges against someone for verbally harassing you if it caused emotional damage.

Edit: I usually get rid of these people by telling them that I don't believe in what they believe in and would appreciate it if they would leave me a lone. There is nothing that will prevent you from meeting these people in the real world. I always have to tell new people who come up to me and ask about my belief and why I don't conform to theirs.
