I live in the UK and would like a telescopic Baton (Like the UK Police do) Is this Legal???
By the way: I am in my 40's in case there's an age limit on them

They are classed as an offensive weapon.
EDIT: Contact your local police station for advice if you are sure it wouldn't leave the house but I don't think it would make any difference as a burglar could steal it and use it. |

By Law only the Police are allowed to use them. You would be guilty of carrying an offensive weapon if you had one. |

Legal to own but not legal to "have with you" (there are a number of cases dealing with this definition - R v Daubney is the best one) in a public place. So good luck getting it home!
A baton like this is "offensive per se" as it is only used to inflict injury. So there's no real lawful purpose or reasonable excuse to have it with you. |

Yes , it is deemed as an offence weapon in law , if it was taken into any public place then you would be liable for arrest .
However if it is kept at your home address then it is ok.
But If you buy it and transport it home , you would be commiting an offence . |
