Let me elaborate: I've talked to people who have had WBC members protest their friends' funerals and we were thinking of ways to get rid of them. This was one of our ideas.

It would be classed as an assault. I've actually reported someone for this offence (they'd moved one of the window washer nozzles on their vehicle to spray passing pedestrians - unfortunately for them, they picked on an off-duty police officer!) |

It is not illegal but those you spray may take action against you for publicly embarrassing them. Some institutions (such as malls) may have rules against them and could have you thrown out for violation of said rules. |

Minus the 95 degree day at the beach, it's assault. It's also stupid. Given some of the things that have happened, it would not be unthinkable for someone to think that this is a biological or chemical attack and for them to take you out. |

Depending on when and where you do it, it could range from a felony assault with mandatory jail time to an offense punishable by a fine and citation ! If you sprayed someone in "0" degree weather, their skin would peel off shortly thereafter, causing severe injuries... on the other hand, during a heat wave it might even be considered totally appropriate ! |
