I cannot believe what you are saying, if your family died and you had a criminal record does not give anyone grounds for theft it is highly unlikely that it would be impossible to find some sort of legal work whether you have a police record or not. Why are you tempted to steal? i should think your family would feel bad your talking about committing theft for no other reason than your tempted and you saw your mate do it. Those who suffer from depression do not go out and steal from others as some form of cure or excuse for their condition you on the other hand are premeditating going on a mission of theft. I really suggest you either confide in your family or seek professional medical help for the way you are feeling before you end up having to relay this same story to the police and the courts. I do not care what situation one finds himself under there are many legal ways to sort it out rather than turn to crime. Listen to the part that says "NO" and talk to someone about how you are feeling, donÂ´t wait till you have committed the act because it will be to late then. CRIME IS NOT AN OPTION ITS A CHOICE, its up to you whether you make it or not.

we have a social security system that is actually the best in the world. nobody starves unless they are very stupid and spend the money on other things. SO stealing is a low life, no brain losers thing. if that's how you see your self then go ahead. fill your boots. who's gonna notice another grim piece of **** in the gutter. get your stuff together and stop feeling sorry for your self. we've all been there......so fight your way out. have some self respect. i hope that's how it pans out for you. good luck.

What if someone stole something special of yours - how would you feel? Do you think it is right to steal? You are not just taking a thing, you are taking something that belongs to someone else - something THEY have to bear the cost of. Depending on the nature of the theft, it could be something of great personal value to the person you steal from. The rule of law and the proper conduct of everyone in society is also something of great value to most of us. You also steal that when you steal things. There is nothing big or clever about it. Are you that kind of scum or are you better than that?

It is not right to steal whether you have family or not.

Don't try it as it will screw your life up as people will stop trusting you.

As for you feeling depressed - find somebody you can talk to, be it a friend or trained councillor, and see if you can pin-point why you're feeling depressed. Once you've worked it out you can work to solve the problem.

It is never right. You made mistakes in your life and will now have to suffer the consequences but it's not impossible. Start looking for ways to turn your life around. The very first thing is to choose a profession you can be good at and one that is needed. Then get the training or schooling for it and get a job to support yourself. Don't bring shame on your family by commiting another crime. Or yourself for that matter.

Stealing is wrong, but if your family was dead then they couldn't find out? Confused a bit there, but it is still wrong never the less.

I feel the same way, I have a good education but i can't get a good job, only low paid jobs, and the money is not enough, but I want to be rich and have the good things in life... I often dream about robbing a bank although I know it is very difficult if not impossible to do this without getting caught, what I recommend is internet fraud, if you know how to do it properly, you can make a olt of money out of it with little risk and it is not so bad for your conscience if you are stealing from big companies not individuals but you need to know how to do it properly, it is a "skill".
