Is it stealing? If you buy a pair of boots, like at wal-mart, and you discover after you get home one of the leather strings on the back is missing, and you go back to the store and find one, can you just take it? It should have come with your boots... and if there is no one to ask about this? What do you think?

Don't ever do it again, if you find something missing on the item you have bought, simply talk to customer service associate, they will happy to help out. Don't take anything out of store without noticing anybody. You will have trouble if they catch you, even that is not stealing, but they will treat it like theft.
I made mistake at my formal job, i got fired and had dirty spot on my record, just because I was caught paying an item after eat it. For them that is "theft". So i am here to tell everyone, not to do such little stupid thing. You might have trouble, and those LP guys are paid for screwing over people like you.... |

Well, your not for sure if they belonged to your boots or not, so in a way yes, you should have exchanged them. |

What you do , is to take the boots back to Walmart and go to the Customer Service Desk.
Explain that the Lace that was supposed to be with your boots wasn't there, and ask if you can go and get a different pair that has both laces.
They will let you exchange the boots for a different pair.
But you will Need your sales receipt to return them.
Hope you still have it. |
