How can I find out if my attorney has been disbarred? I live in Texas and looking for a good attorney that is licensed to practice.

Google the State Bar of Texas.

Call the Texas Bar Assoc. and ask them to check. A good source of information about lawyers is found at www.martindale.com. Look for a lawyer in your area in the field you are concerned with. He or she should have an AV raing or at least a BV rating.
