PLEASE GET HELP, NOW! You're young, so you are probably confused about this happening and think its in some way your fault. But the truth is, your family does not deserve this sick b*stard to hit you. Your Mom is obviously suffering from battered womans syndrome. Maybe if you tell your mom about your stepdad hitting you she will realize that his hitting problem is not only hurting her, but her children also. Let me get one thing clear, SPILLING JUICE is NO REASON for hitting. And this is besides the fact that HE IS NOT YOUR FATHER and has no right to lay a hand on you, EVER! Your mom needs to know what he's done. And please, if your Mom does not do anything, tell your sister who is 17 and ask her to go to the police station with you to make a report. They will take a picture of the bruise so they have documentation of his abuse. This is NOT OK. There's no good reason for this, you are a victim along with your mom and sister. PLEASE GET HELP! My ex boyfriend used to treat me this way, little hits and slaps, then in time it got worse and he would beat me. I wish I had the courage to go to the cops sooner with proof of my abuse. This guy ended up trying to kill me. Please get out now, and help your mom and sister to also leave. This is a terrible situation and probably much worse than you even realize. I'm sure he usually tries to hit your mom when you and your sis are not around. Your mom needs help also. Please go to the police. That is wrong of him to do. If he left a bruise then that's considered abuse. And since this isn't the first time, something has to be done about it. You can't let him going on thinking it's okay to do this to your family. Talk to your mom. If you think that she will be oblivious about, then tell someone else you trust. Don't stay silent about it, someone could wind up realy hurt.

As a former prosecutor I would take the case and convict him on your facts. Second, you are to old to be struck. Not even on the bottom. Also, leaving a bruise is never acceptable.
You have an abuser in your house. Now he has hit you, your sister and your mother. It will not stop. Tell your mother. If she does not want to call the police, it is up to you. Next, have photos taken of the bruise, and write up what happened. Give both the photos and the note to a good friend.

Lastly, let your mom know if he hits anyone in the house again, not saying that he hit your sister, that you will call the police.

Because no he is not supposed to hit you, it is against the law.

But if you want to be forcibly removed from your parents care is your choice.

It does not matter if he is your stepdad or natural dad, he has cause you "Harm" and left bruises on you - the bruise is not a reward.

Tell your sister you need to break your promise and both of you go the police station and get out of the house. If your mother is clueless to what is going on and sometimes it happens (not often) but she may not know; but if it has happen to both of you it will make a stronger case for your mother to believe. If your natural dad is around maybe it is time for him to step-up.

YOU need to tell the police, you are a young girl and all you did was spill some juice. That does not deserve discipline. First off, he isn't you're father, secondly, he left a mark, which he cannot do. Spanking is ONE thing but when you leave marks. that's WRONG.
Tell the police, you're mother should know about this, but you cannot allow her to convince you not to tell. Take a picture of the bruising, and all the police.

You need to tell your mom or another adult that you trust. If he has only been married to your mother for 5 months, and he has already hit you, your sister, and your mother, then chances are that it will happen again. You don't want to wait until one of you is seriously injured. If you talk to someone now before anyone gets hurt, maybe your stepdad can get some help. At the very least, someone else will be aware of what's going on.

My stepdad more or less raised me and he certainly spanked me. That was long ago. Rules are different now. If he is acting outside of the duty of a normal parent then he is wrong.

The fact that he has hit your mother is definitely wrong. You need to talk to your school counselor or your pastor or another adult that you can trust.

First of all, you need to report him. What he's done and will probably continue to do is illegal. I know how you feel saying that your sister told you not to tell. This shows that she is scared of making the stepdad even angrier, but he won't stop unless he is reported. Talk to your local police officers and they will help you out.

Not sure about the legality of thigs. Sometimes if you ask they say he is allowed and others will take things to the extreme.

I would talk your sister and convince her to talk to your mom. You both need to let her know what's going on. Not sure about your stepdad but abusers start slow to see what they'll get away with. At least my dad started that way. If you were my girls I would like to know that you had enough trust in me to tell me anything.

Does he have any kind of stress that is making him change his behavior? Did he apologize for his actions?

You say that he has hit all 3 of you. Be careful and don't let it get to far just because you didn't want to hurt your mom's feelings.

I hope that it was just an off day for him, but it still does not excuse his behavior.

No, there is no legitimate reason for anyone to hit you. I would first tell your mother and show her the bruise. If she doesn't do anything contact child social services or tell your school councilor or a teacher.

I have a stepdad too, but hes never hit me so i cant really relate but if it happened to me, i would definately tell my mom about what happened. Ask your sister what she thinks too. She may decide to tell your mom what happened to her. And its really wrong of him to make you swear not to tell. He just doesnt want to have to pay the price if you tell your mom. If he's a good guy he will accept that what he did was wrong and he wont do it again. So tell your mom, its for the best.

That's not right. Even if it is his form of discipline, clearly it's gone too far if he's left bruises.

Why don't you talk to your sister about it, and come to a descision that both of you are happy with.

I would be cautious about talking to your mum, because she may love him, which could cause a problem, but this incident should not be ignored.

At your school, I am sure there is a teacher called "pupil support" or something. They are there for you to talk to, and they will help you decide what to do.

heyy at least u dont have my life...i just turned 12 and today my mom,my lil brother me and my step dad went to go eat and we brought back chicken wings and sense my step dad is a landscaper he has a plastic bag ful of rags to clean with...anyways he told me to take it down i said ok and told him i would be back so i ran upstairs and put my charger in my room then my step dad came upstairs and started screaming at me and he pulled my hair and basically threw me downstairs and i accidently triped my little brother and he dropped da chicken wings and my step dad and mom started screaming and me the made me pick it up then my step dad grabed my charger wire and hit my leg w/ it ....my leg was so red i even tuk a pic of it and my step dad told me he didnt wanna see my face and im sooo lazy...what do i do...i woldnt stop crying and they told me to shut up :(
