Well, the act of suicide is final, period. You can't prosecute a dead person. And attempted suicide has been decriminalized the the US.
No criminal charges will result. You will most likely be detained in a county mental health facility for 24-72/hrs for psychiatric evaluation.
After it is determined you are no longer an immediate danger to yourself, you'll be referred to out patient counseling. |

Washington is one of two states that has legal assisted suicide. You must have a terminal medical condition and go through a long procedure. |

No. All states have removed it from their laws. There can be some legal issues, though, from suicide. Insurance companies don't have to pay out claims if the victim committed suicide. And, the family of the deceased would not be able to sue a caregiver for failing to prevent the suicide. |

If you are dead, the only people that care are the people left behind. The only legal question they'd be asking is whether they could get the life insurance. If they found out it was suicide, then NO. If it looks like an accident, then YES. |

well i'm sure it's not legal bc its murder but i'm not sure if it matters bc after you kill yourself you cannot be punished for it like you would after killing someone else. |

No, self murder is not legal. It is impossible to prosecute though. |
