Is the forced removal of all?
Find answers to your legal question.

Is the forced removal of all?

hats in the classroom in a state university by a professor during an exam without prior warning of said professor's policy against any laws? Maybe against some kind of freedom of speech extension?
Additional Details
The school has no dress code policy against hats or any head coverings.

And I note that not one of you are a layer, so you're hardly qualified t respond now are you?

Now that the retard answerer's are out of the wa, can I get a descent responce?

I agree, sometimes removing your hat can be just as embarrassing as removal of a shirt or pants. I'm not sure how they can force you to remove clothing. Probably not enough hat activists out there... Maybe on your next exam wear a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses.

No. There are a lot of things that be construed as violation of your right to free speech; having to take off your hat in a classroom is not one of them.

Definitely not. Hats are part of a dress code. If your school has any sort of policy on dress codes, then hats could be included. I went to public schools growing up, and hats were okay with some teachers and not with others.

It's polite to remove your hat when indoors. It's not illegal to require politeness.

Get over it. Why is it that big of a deal to you? were you trying to cheat using the hat?

honestly you posted two questions about this.

it is not a human right violation or a freedom of speech violation.

rumbler_12
No, if he asked you to take your clothes off, then that would violate your privacy, but hats do not. He is probably A) wanting to see your eyes better so he can see if you are looking on someone elses paper and B) I have seen answers printed inside the bill of a cap.

I do not allow them either. I do not not even allow them in my classroom because I was raied hats off in the house.

It is a professorial preference and he is within his rights to require that.
