Are conspiracy theories a symptom of paranoia? Does this position cause you personal problems with friends, family or work?
How could one man possibly pull the strings of thousands of publicly traded multi-national corporations?
Besides GW is not running for office and I can guarantee you he is not in love with all of the gop congress.
Lets' see if I have this right, when prices went up it was bushes fault and now that prices are going back down it is bushes fault. Wow, I really find that amazing. Do you think he stopped the hurricanes this year with a raygun on a satellite? |

The decline in gas prices is twofold. (1) the hurricane season was slow and the Gulf had nothing to speak in storms this year. Because of that they were able to get more oil and get it refined. (2) the break in the Alaskan pipeline was repaired ahead of schedule. They thought it could take till January, but it is done already. Thus more oil. Lower prices. |

Go set in on a 6th grade school class.
It will explain about supply and demand. And summer driving, etc.
Very simple.
And you won't embarrass yourself with little transparent conspiracy theories. |

Isn't it amazing that liberals only want bad news. They can't stand good news. |

Boy oh boy you caught us. Just wait until we get it down to $1.85 than you will really be upset. Do you ride a bike to school or chew gum? |

Is the preciitous decline in your intelligence level a conspiracy by Liberals? Political maniplualtion?
Is this the political ploy by Democrats to win the elections in November and sway the ignorant? Isn't that cheating and unethical?
Gas prices may go back up, sorry about your IQ... |

The US does not have control over the world price of crude oil. There is no way that Bush could convince the OPEC countries to lower their prices, sacraficing billionsof dollars a day, just so the Republicans could win in November.''
well said-beside which I think OPEC would feel more....comfortable with bleeding heart liberals in office |

Yes, thats true. I've even heard that they are prepared to drop the gas price down to $0.27 / gallon if they need to to win the election.
What I don't understand is why didn't Clinton drop the price to $0.50/ gallon just to help us poor people out? |

Oh yeah definately, the gas prices could be compared to the way they got the slaves to build the pyramids for them in Egypt. You see if you make it so terrible for someone that they can barely survive, then later throw them a few scraps, the theory is that they then will be thankful for the scraps you throw them. Gas was down to 79 cents per gallon during the Clinton years, one Clinton between 2 Bushes, just look at how greatly the economy improved when Clinton was in office, look at how bad it is now. |

I don't have enough facts to say one way or another, but I will say this;
The whole gas price thing has been nothing but hinkey from the get-go, and I smell a rat...somewhere.
They talk of 'supply and demand', of course I can buy that, I have a basic understanding of economics. But when prices go through the roof, and simultaneously profits do too?? In any other industry that's called gouging - and I've yet to hear an explanation as to why this magically isn't so for this industry.
And now, for no seriously believable reason, prices start dropping so close to an election time?? Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
All I know is that there was no real reason for the prices to skyrocket in the first place, and no real reason for them to drop now. Whether you belive vast conspiracies or toe the party line - I think you're both drinking the kool-aid. I remain vigilantly skeptical. There's a skunk at this garden party, we just haven't washed the paint off the stripe yet. |

Well, kinda, but not as bad as the price fixing and gouging over the last few years.
In as far as the republicans are concerned, this is a clear case of too little, too late. The weasels will scurry around trying anything and everything in the coming days, leading up to their demise.
Oh, happy day!

Maybe. What sparked my curiosity is that prices continued to fall even before the busy Labor Day holiday when the increased demand should have driven prices up. At least that is the excuse they give us any other time they raise them. |

it started with Dubya buddies at Walmart, it's a conspiracy to honestly steal the election manipulated by the "Good Ole Boys" in the gas industry, Who? you ask ...Chaney and Rumsfeld |

To all who don't believe that gas prices are being manipulated, just wait till Bush decides to bomb Iran, then you'll see what we'll be paying for a gallon of gas. |
