I am writing a paper titled this and would like some input. I am answerinn no but all opinions are welcome.

No. I wrote quite a similar paper on this a little while ago...perhaps you're in my class?
Anywho, it makes it so that candidates are 100% about the political gain instead of the common good, and where it's possible that one political ideology has 100% of the power. The countries with three + party systems, in my opinion, have a better system. |

No, I don't think it does.
Yes, america has indeed enjoyed the stability of having only two major parties but what happens when you don't think that either party is the party for you?
It doesn't matter ,your tax dollars supports both parties and their agendas anyway.
I wish it did matter, but third parties lack the support and voters. |

Absolutely not. Remember in France when they had an election and among 8 candidates, the least favorite (of America) won, and we decried that's not democracy! Just imagine if Ralph Nader had the media exposure of Bob Dole or Hilary Clinton...Less war, lower taxes, and legalized drugs, lower crime rates, more jobs, better social security net, and the list goes on. Not saying he was the best choice, but we have to realize that in every republican v democrat election, sometimes you are just choosing between the lesser of two evils. |
