The article you posted said the DNC was trying to get the case dismissed. Why not just address it and clear it up and silence the issue? That way it wouldn't be a question in so many minds. That seems fair to me.

McCain's father was in the military. If he was stationed outside the US when his son was born, he would still be American born.

The constitution should be followed. It is not harassment or racist to expect the law of the land to be followed by everyone.

Yes and the Judge just ordered that Obama has to provide proof within 3 days. There is a question whether his Indonesian step father adopted Obama. IF SO, Obama became an Indonesian citizen, and by law could not hold duel citizenships. IF this is true, Obama would have had to reapply for US Citizenship. At the time Obama moved back to Hawaii with his Grandparents, he was too young to do this himself. His mother did not come back to the States with him. It is also questioned IF she gave up her US Citizenship marrying the Indonesian. The proof will be the "pudding" so to speak. Perhaps this is the October surprise!!!!!

We as Citizens of this great Nation need to know the truth. It does NOT bode well to have a candidate NOT producing PROOF that in fact he/she is a natural born Citizen of our Country running for the highest office of the land.

Nope. That so-called "scandal" was first brought up over a year ago, and since then has been disproved. Obama was born in Hawaii, hence the USA. This is just a distraction lawsuit.

Ordinarily, the truth of an allegation is not determined until AFTER the trial. As the certified birth certificate is not sufficient to persuade the plaintiff, I suspect that no other evidence will persuade him either. You might keep in mind that Obama was an infant when he was born and has no memory of being born.

Obama could cut this lawsuit off at the knees by producing a legal birth certificate. There is something on it, if there is one, that he doesn't want revealed.
It's amazing he has gotten this far. When he ran for Senate in Illinois evidently no one questioned his citizenship. This is understandable because it is assumed you are a citizen if you run for office. Now that the premise of his legal citizenship has been raised, it should be answered yes or no before the election.
I fear if it is no, our courts will find some way around it because the judge or judges feel it would be costly to the country to have an elected President who is not a legal citizen. So they will hide it or bury it or dismiss the suit.

The lawsuit (mostly) acknowledges that Obama was born in Hawaii. Under U.S. law that ends the inquiry.

The plaintiff, however, alleges that Obama's step-father "acknowledged paternity" or somehow otherwise adopted Obama under Indonesian law. The then makes the wholly unsubstantiated leap to the claim that therefore Obama would no longer be a U.S. citizen. That is untrue.

Regardless, an individual voter does not have the right to sue to keep a candidate off the ballot because he does not have the particularized injury required for standing. (That's why the cases trying to get McCain off the ballots were dismissed).

Berg's complaint is filled with bigoted language and references to Obama's step-father saying Obama (at age 4) was Muslim, which if true is irrelevant but highly telling about the plaintiff's motive for bringing the suit and publicizing the facts.
