My sister finally left an abusive relationship after 10 years of marriage last August. Moving from California to Iowa with their year and a half old son. He followed her out there and she eventually (he was forced to go to a mental hospital by police and was there for a few weeks) got a restraining order to protect her and her baby. He moved back in with his parents after the court hearing to colorado and is planning to move back to iowa this summer. He has been recently been sending my sister letters. A lot of letters like 4 a week about 20 pages long of him just ranting. She was issued a no contact order. My question is this a violation of the restraining order and if so what will happen to him if she contacts the police?

Ok Samantha m before you start making assumptions he was abusing his own baby that’s why she finally had the courage to leave and also just another fyi he broke my sisters back and nearly left her permanently paralyzed.

Yes it is and she should tell the police. He will go to jail if I am not mistaken. Good luck to your sister and I hope she does the right thing by turning the slob in so she and the baby will remain safe. |

i would go after you also if you took my kid, i would take you top court and have an order filed not letting you move out of the county (you can do that when there is a kid involved) |
