I am asking about the fellow at the end of the news story with the sign that reads >REVOLT<>REVOLT<>REVOLT<. The sign is just over the left shoulder of the reporter, to the right of the screen. Is this protected speech or not?

Yes, it is protected, because he is not proposing armed revolt. Given that we have free elections (well, freer than any other country), a simple throw the bums out revolt at the ballot box will suffice. |
