So what's the problem? If the patients who buy them like them, there is no problem, right?
There is no law against selling photos...to anyone. |

I doubt it's illegal -- but it's certainly unprofessional. |

In America we call that "entrepreneurship" or "free enterprise."
Um, just out of curiosity -- if the patients "think they're wonderful" what's the problem? |

I would doubt it is illegal, at last by US Standards. However, there is more likely than not a rule at the hospital or medical facility prohibiting personal sales by employees, as this is a fairly standard practice. |

Unethical, for sure. Has anyone brought it to the nurses station to report? Solicitation is the last thing patients need to be dealing with while in a hospital, and ripping them off is just awful. |
|

I would think the company/group he works for would prohibit selling to the patients. |

no law, perhaps hospital policy
if he sells them to mentally incapacitated individuals, perhaps there is a fraud to report |

As long as he's not selling pictures of the patients or someone else's work without permission, it shouldn't be illegal. There may, however, be a policy against soliciting to patients at that doctor's office. If that's the case, you could report that he's doing it, which may get him fired. |

Do the patients have Alzheimer's or dementia? Then it could be illegal. |

its not rude or illegal
its immoral! |

let the patients decide whether these photos are worth it, if its worth it to them, why should you care? |

Neither, he offers a product and from your own words they like them. Sounds like you b jelus. |

Unless they are mental patients, they are free to like what they like, and buy what they want. |

Anyone can take a picture and sell it...what is wrong with that??? Just because you don't like the pictures doesn't mean that other people don't. |
|

Robert C
|
why do you care?
if the patients want the pics and they make them happy then leave it alone..
anyone here who wants sunset pics pls send me an email |
|

it's not illegal, it may not even be bad. as long as he's not hassling the patients and the patients actually like the pictures, then there's nothing wrong with it. |
|

currrlyn

I don't think it's illegal or rude, just tacky. But if the patients are dense enough to buy them then that's their issue. |

Well it's all up to the patients... and the hospital of course. Before you do anything about this, you should ask someone in charge of your hospital. |
|

super duper

i dont think this is illegal to sell on "art" but what an idiot ripping of his patients maybe inform someone important in the hospital and they can have a word with him?

I Made a Darth Doody

I don't think so, because they are not any rules (if the patient wants it, it buys it) so i dont think it is rude or illegal |
|

Its not exactly prefessional. I dont think there is a law against it, but deffinatly not appropriate. |
|

oh baby!!!!!

|

If there stupid enough, and it makes them happy, it sounds to me like everybody wins. |
|

Go Bears!

You may want to take it up with a head nurse if you can... I don't know what 20 pounds is in American $$ but sounds like a rip off to me for a stupid picture. |

He's soliciting. A license may be required. |

Not illegal in the states. People are ripping each other off all the time here...lol |

What in the world is rude about selling a picture of the sunset? Patients are choosing to buy them, rip off or not, whether you think they are crap or not. It isn't like he's taking pictures of the patients and selling them.
That said, the hospital probably would frown upon it if he is doing it on duty. But I can't say I would really care if it were me. If you want him to stop, find out the hospitals policy on the matter, and then talk to him yourself about it. Ask if he's aware of the policy - he may not be knowingly breaking any rules. |

of course its illegal... the hospital interior rules might not allow that....talkin about laws....hes takin advantage of that.....abusin of ppl who cant discern or are not in optimum mental conditions..... |
