Ok A bunch of my friends smoke weed, pot whatever ya wanna call it. But is it Illegall?? and what does it to do your body and Brain for the what happens part if you find an article can you tag it along so i can read it?? Thanks a bunch!! Oh and do u do drugs?? If so what kind?? Just wondering

The only thing weed dose is give you short term memory only for a short period of time and thats if you smoke alot. You cant explain any kind of drug. It just is. Can you explain achool? Weed is illegal in the USA. It releases serotonin in the brain witch is the chemical that makes you happy. The only real "drugs" are man made... the stuff that can get you adicted and kill you. ACID and mushrooms are not a drugs... cocain herowin meth are real drugs. Dont be affrade. |

I agree with the first answer. It is illegal everywhere, so dont hang out with your friends if they have pot on them. Even if you dont have any on you, and you've never smoked in your life, you can still get charged. For example, if you're in a car with 4 other people, and one of them has an ounce of pot and they get caught, the officer has the discretion to charge that person with an ounce, or charge each of you with 1/5 of an ounce. And there's not much you can do.
Some states have "decriminalized" it, but dont let that word fool you. It is still illegal. Decriminalization just means that if you get caught with a small amount, you cannot serve jail time, but you might still have to pay a hefty fine or do some community service.
I have never smoked weed so I dont know firsthand the effects of it, but some of my friends are total potheads. They have done so much of it that it has basically "fried their brain" and they seem like they are high all of the time, even when they're not. Also, your friends might think they're fine to drive while high, but DONT LET THEM DO IT! Although not as bad behind the wheel as a drunk, they can still have impaired judgment! And if they get caught, they can be charged with Driving While Ability Impaired, or DWAI. Which is bad news.
It's a cheap thrill. It'll last a while, and then when you have to deal with the consequences, you'll regret it. |

Weed is illegal in the entirety of the United States.
However some communities choose not to enforce the laws on the books.
As for physical hazards they are numerous but so are cigarettes.
Speaking from experience it is addictive. That's why people who do it spend so much time trying to find it, although they will say its not.
When you use it, it releases endorphins into your system that make you feel good, however your body gets used to this and just like any drug it takes more to get the same feeling.
When you give it up you do go through with-drawls but not like harsher substances. Mostly its like a tiredness or depression that lasts for months and your never quite right after that. |

As of now marijuana is still illegal according to the federal government. Some states have legalized pot for medicinal use for people who have obtained a doctor's prescription for it. Other states like California have decriminalized pot which means if caught with a small amount you get a citation and fine similar to a traffic ticket and no criminal record.
