Weed isn't as bad as the government tells you it is. It is impossible to die of an overdose, and THC is not physically addicting.

It's illegal because the Feds can't regulate it. Tobacco is hard to grow and produce, while weed grows anywhere, and is very hardy.

There is huge money in Tobacco politicians get so much money from lobbyists of tobacco firms that they're practically "owned" by the firms. The politicians only way of winning was to take money from them and he now feels he needs to keep them happy to get reelected.

In my opinion there are two reason,s . First when it was outlaw,ed it was because a lot of the slave,s used it in their various religion,s. so the christian,s worked to get it outlaw,ed because it was not western religion but eastern. There for it had to be abolished to protect Christianity. Also the slave holder,s had to deprive them of any thing that would help them cope and maybe resist. Alcohol was outlaw,ed and crime took over and violence was rampant. So prohibition was repealed. The same thing is happening today but the religious right wont let the law change. So we live in a world where people want to smoke pot and other,s want to make money selling it.And are willing to do anything to make the money.While other,s are afraid that their religion cant last if they let people make their own choice. Even though the bible tell,s us god gave us free will.---- That is my opinion.

anything you smoke is harmful to the lungs. how ever weed has no nicotine or tar. so if you ate it, it could be OK. as far as the government gos .......... who knows?

It sure isn't "good" for you. It won't kill you tomorrow, but a lot of things won't and they aren't good for you either.

As for being legal....that's to deep an argument for here...in my opinion anyway.

Weed is bad for you because the federal government has said it is bad.

In terms of physical health - I am sure it is just as bad as tobacco but since tobacco is a more regulated industry and legal, that is what makes it "safe" so to speak.

Its not that much worse than any other legal drug (like cigs) but honestly, what do you think is worse; a stressed out chain smoker or a pothead. Now think of both these people doing everyday tasks that involve you. Kinda funny when i think about it actually....

I heard from alot of people and placesthat it is very safe because they say that it never killed anyone. Well that may be true, but after I smoked it a few times it screwed up my brain PERMANENTLY. I only smoked it a handfull of time and havent in almost 10 years, but you want to know a sad fact? I have NEVER been the same ever since. My memory was so fried that to this very day I have a hell of a time functioning in the real world because I can't remember certain things like for example, a to-do list, schedule, and worst of all, NAMES. You'd be shocked at how bad it is. And I never had any problems with my memory before I smoked it.

Also, I have heard first-hand stories of other smokers that have experience permanent mental changes/problems after smoking it.

Also, I saw a show about weed where they talked about how benificial pot is to soldiers than experience Post-Tramatic Stress Syndrom. They talked about how the weed helps you to forget. Interesting, huh?

P.S. anyone that tells you it is not addictive is absolutely insanely LYING through their entire skull. I had DOZENS of friends that were hooked, many of whom still can't kick it.

It's generally not good for people, however it has been ruled that in certain medical cases it should be allowed due to lack a of adiquate drugs equiped to handle pain. I think it is cancer and sickle cell anemia, mostly.

Quite simply put... Would you like to fly knowing that the pilot is smoking dope. Would you considder that driving a car or walking across a road safe, knowing that a driver or pedestrian wer high on dope. In the work-place... A forklift driver high on dope... would you trust this person with your safety... Nuff said, eh..

well i dont smoke it anymore, i used to think it was alright, but after i heard it causes brain damage, and they used to say coke was not addictive an didnt cause any damage!!!

but then i heard bush when he was in college and used to smoke weed and do coke and drink!!!

then after listening to him and rummy try to explain things in there speeches and trying to answere peoples questions, man, i gave that **** up right away!!!

i mean you can tell bush and rummy used to party down, look at all that damage it did to them!!!

Weed gets you whacked, and getting whacked is at least psychologically addicting. Being addicted to a substance is bad. Being whacked regularly is bad. It means your life is out of control. It means you can't keep jobs or relationships. Your mental health will suffer. Your physical health will suffer. If you don't get rehabbed, you'll die before your time, because being addicted (even "just" psychologically) to dope means you'll make all kinds of bad life choices. It will all gather and multiply and catch up to you.

Lots of people just play around with dope and let it go. Lots of people play around with dope and don't let it go, and most of them don't because they can't. They're addicted.
