Isn't it? Because the Bill of Rights says " freedom of religion", and we're only outlawing gay marriage because of the United States's Christianity. So if someone wasn't Christian, they should be able to marry whomever they choose.
I'm not gay, I'm just trying to point out how unfair it is to outlaw gay marriage.

Dear TG: So what if someone marries a goat? That's their choice. And also, Christians are going around doing things, all the while saying: "I'm Christian. The Bible says I can do this", etc... This whole country is based on Christianity, the laws, the ethics, EVERYTHING. And it's unfair.

Well what if my religion says that I can marry a 12 year old or a goat? Is that ok? Where do we draw the line? What about Polygamists? Why is that illegal if gay marriage is legal?
Freedom of religion is not a free pass to do anything you want because your religious belief allows it. What if my religion says it's ok to make human sacrifices? That is not ok, that is murder..."but what about freedom of religion?!"
Dear poster: Our laws are based on the moral beliefs of the majority. 76% of this country is Christian and we were founded on Christian beliefs. What immoral things are Christians doing in America that we are claiming is protected under our freedom of religion? Ultimately we have to hold our society to a moral standard. Marriage is defined as being between a man and a woman.
If you want to really attack something as being unconstitutional, go after the rights of married couples to receive extra benefits above and beyond single peoples' benefits. That is really the argument here, that gays are not given the same rights. The unconstitutional part is not that gays aren't able to marry, it's that married couples receive unequal treatment. That is against the constitution. Marriage is not part of the constitution. |

No, making gay marriage legal is unconstitutional because it will force religions to recognize the unions.
That, and 90 percent of Americans don't want it, while most Americans are in favor of civil unions for gays.

Why would anybody? Its not like their planning on having their ceremony in the living room of a christian... |

Marriage is part of the constitution, it is defined by a MALE and FEMALE bonding together there love life. There for gay marriage is not protected by the constitution and being gay is not a religion. |

Marriage = a religious ceremony with whatever restraints your particular religion has
Domestic Partnership= any partnership by any two people who choose to live together legally.
Case solved... the religious idiots can have their "marriage" and the courts will be able enforce laws involving couples rights in courts and health and financial issues.
We must separate church and state on this. |

gayness is usually assopsciated with low testoserone levels. but on alot of testosterone is the rapist so rapist should be allowed to be ok under the same arguement of there born that way so if you outlaw gaymarriage it prohibits the later of the issue. |
