Landlord broke my windsheld......?

my landlord was mad that loud music was playing from next door so angry that he busted me windshield. he later found out that the music was comin from nextdoor and not me......should i demand replacement of the windshield and move out? because he offered me two months free and pay for the windshield if i didnt report him.....

Nothing wrong with settling this matter without the police. Get it in writing that your rent is paid in full for the next two months so that he doesn't get sneaky and try to boot you out for nonpayment.

But you might consider moving anyway. The guy's a menace.

It's a very good deal, and it will give you money and time to get a new apartment. You don't want to be around someone with that violent a temper.

I think his offer sounds reasonable, at least he is sorry for what he did and has given you a pretty good deal in my opinion!

Let him pay for the windshield, take the two months free rent, use that time to find a new place to live.

Tell him to make it three months and pay for the windshield. Whatever you do, I would put it in writing.

Ouch... I might move out as soon as possible. If he's going to get that angry about something and break your windshield, what else is he going to do?!

Get a recipt for the rent being paid up.
Have him go with you to make sure that he pays for window.
Have him talk to you before he tries to blame you for things in the future.
Don't blame him for the loud music.

Two Months Free and Pay of windshield probably would benefit you both more than reporting.
