A man who was murdered has his estate sued for 2 months back rent and early termination of lease.
I know this is a very insensitive thing to do, and from a moral standpoint be left alone, IMHO.
I am curious if this can legally be followed through on.

I'm a lawyer--not from Wisconsin though. Landlord-Tenant laws vary from state to state so I cannot give a definitive answer; however, generally, if the lease states that it is binding on the tenant and his executors, administrators, successors and assigns, then yes, it is binding on his estate even after he is deceased.
So, while I agree with you that this seems like a terribly insensitive thing to do (I'd have a hard time doing it myself) it is, most likely, entirely legal. |

I don't think you can sue a dead man. The lease would have been terminated upon his death. |

yup.no matter if the person is dead or not,if people want whats owed to them,they will sue.i think its wrong though. |
