Not sure what state you live in, but Wisconsin's law specifies possess, attempt to possess, consume, or enter a business where it is sold. |

yep. You gotta be 21 to drink. |

Yes unless the cop is his parent and gave him permission. In some states you can go into a bar with a legal parent (not an of age friend) and be allowed to drink but you cannot buy a drink. The parent must purchase it for you. Otherwise why would anyone underage want to drink standing in front of a cop? That is like shooting the bird at a pro wrestler or kicking a grizzly bear...not very smart. |

Yes, I believe they can. Underage drinking is against the LAW. I know from personal experience, not myself, but family members and friends of mine. But back to my answer, YES you can go to jail for UNDERAGE drinking. |

In the U.S.? 21 to purchase alcohol and 21 to consume it. If you are caught drinking, you can be arrested for minor in possession, which is a status offense. |

Nah, I would not arrest for drinking in front of me. I would write you a citation, charging you with "Minor in Possession", call your parents, and they would take your drunken punk butt home. . . |

You need to be 21 to drink it. In some states there are limited exceptions, such as if you are on private property with a parent or legal guardian present. |

In the U.S., yes. You need to be 21 or else it is underage alcohol consumption which is usually a misdemeanor offense. |

In U.S. It is illegal to posses and/or consume. Although, in many States, You may however be present in a licensed establishment if accompanied by Parent/Guardian/Spouse if they are over 21(proof is required). |

You still have to be 21 to drink it. Otherwise, whoever provided it to you can get in big trouble for contributing to the delinquency of a minor. |

you can be a minor and drink in front of a cop as long as your parents are the ones that bought it for you and you are in there house and not drunk. some places you can go to a restraunt with your parents and they will serve your parents the alcohol to give to you but most places that do that have a 2 drink max so they dont get introuble for indirectly getting a minor drunk. the parents will get in trouble too if you are noticably drunk. |

In Illinois, if you are caught with any liquor whatsoever under the age of 21, you are in violation of the zero tolerance law. |

Most police will over look drinking in the house, espically if it is given to you by your parents. But unless your 21 it is stupid to ever drink in front of a cop, and even if your 21 make sure you know your public intox laws before you drink infront of the cops. |
