Legal action for crazy ex....?

We broke up in january. It's now april. And the harassment isn't stopping. He pushed me in january, i let it go. Last month, he called me a C U Next Tuesday and we got into a huge fight over AIM about how he never wanted to speak to me again, how terrible of a person i am...blah blah blah. Now, it's 2:24 in the morning. an hour ago, he drunk dialed me leaving a NASTY voicemail saying things like "You're such a B****" and "Don't f*** with the best!"
I have the voicemail and AIM convo from a month ago saved. I want this to stop happening. I blocked him on AIM. I tried changing my number/having his number blocked, but Alltel is a terrible cell phone company and won't let me.
Is there any legal action I can take to get this to stop? I don't want to just file a police report and have it sit there and go unnoticed. I really need this to end. Is a restraining order the best way to go? We both live in the same small town.

This sounds like you need to get the restraining order as he is still not leaving you alone. If you have tried to ignore him and he continually harasses you and makes your life unbearable because of his actions then file a report with the police before it turns into something much worse.
By the way you can get alltel to block the number. It takes a few times but you need to get a hold of a supervisor when calling and they can get the block you are wanting |

get the restraining order. you have to start some where. keep a calender of all the times he calls and other stuff and tell the judge. because if he you get the order and he don't stop he will go to jail and maybe then he will learn. |

a restraining order will only work if he is afraid to go to jail.. but a police report will help if he does something, then you will have it on record that he is this way and has been this way before..
other then you finding someone to beat him , going to the cops and court might be your only option.. |

Yes to the restraining order, but there's nothing wrong with filing a police report in the mean time.
You don't want something to happen and then have the judge ask you why you didn't go to the police sooner and end up looking like one of those lame girls that say "oh, i didn't think anything would happen." |
