Hey. My birth name is Kristen James.
But i am no longer in contact with my Family, they dont really want anything to do with me. And i feel i want to change my name for me. I think it will help to get threw it.
Currently, everyone i know calls me Kitti.
Ive been called that for 5 years now. And i would like to Change my name to kitti Cherry.
How would i do this? How Much would it cost?

It depends on what country you are in, I can only give advice for the UK. If you are in the UK you can just change your name to whatever you like and inform the authorities to get your driving licence etc changed. You DO NOT need a deed poll, they are a rip off and waste of money. There is no central register of names and a deed poll is just a contract of one party stating that they will be known by a new name froma given date, why pay someone to write that out? |

Assuming you're in the UK, you can change it by deed poll, you can even do it online, and it costs £33 for an adult. |

Maybe you should keep your first name "Kristen" and "Kitti" just seems like a nickname. . Maybe just changing your surname would be the best idea. .
You just need to head into your local attorney office. . get some advice and they will advise you on what steps to take. . |
