The gay activist judge was advancing his personal agenda.

Gay activists can bully people people around in this country by screaming "discrimination." But Miss California refused to be bullied.

I think the question should not have been allowed period. THe question HAS TO BE A POLITICAL question. One person on an interview with O'Reilly stated she shouldn't have put her political views out there - but how can she avoid that if the question is in fact a politically geared question? I think the question was unfair and I think the response from Hilton was childish and bigoted - he is a very unprofessional person. He could have disagreed, but he didn't need to throw a tantrum! I find this to be a case of restricting constitutional rights - even beyond whether she won or not - the fact that she was punished by a judge and assaulted verbally by a judge because she differs in view. I thought we lived in AMERICA?????????????

To punish her on her personal opinion is stupid. Isn't it the gay people who want to be 'accepted' for their difference? Yet they openly persecute anyone who doesn't agree w/ them...wow, talk about being a hypocrite.

These pageants are a joke to begin with, (just my opinion.) Politics is always an element and it shouldn't be in a so-called, "beauty pageant."

We are all entitled to our opinions, she should not have been penalized for hers. But no one will ever openly admit that was the deciding factor.

They did that on purpose, and they asked her opinion, and she gave her opinion and they said her opinion was wrong.

Since when do you let a gay guy judge a woman's beauty contest, he likes guys, he should just a gay guy contest, not women, he knows nothing about the beauty of a woman or he would want one.

I think it was wrong for him to ask this question. I have spent the last ten years in parochial schools. Last year my theology teacher openly said how she disapproves of gay marriage etc. While I respect her opinion the way she went about saying it insulted many people in my school. There are a surprising amount of gay people (I go to a small school that is all girls and when you do the math there are more than 10% of each grade who are gay or bi.) in my school and each of them hates that particular teacher because of what she says. Each person is entitled to their own opinion but asking such a controversial question made her chose between what she could have said to please them or say what she was brought up to believe.
There is also the way some gay activists react to some peoples opinions. I have a friend who is great to talk to, she funny, and so much fun to hang around but as soon as you say something slightly 'wrong' about gay marriage she goes off on a rant. So this is kind of a similar situation. She made a comment that she probably regrets and now the whole gay community hates her.
When it comes down to it the question shouldn't have been asked.

I'm all for gay marriage but I'm really surprised somebody's opinion can be held against them in a situation like that. Does seem like a set-up to make her look bad (though I think it's having the opposite effect). The weird thing is that the majority of the public seems to agree with her about marriage, and the government definitely does. But I don't really care for beauty pageants or Perez.

Yes of course. That guy Perez hilton (NOT his real name) is so gay and asked her that question on purpose because he suspected these beauty queens wouldnt be against gay marriage.
