My boss has serious issue,s ,he,s verbally abusive and very threatening what should i do?

I have a good position in my job and really enjoy my work . The problem is my boss is,nt one of the nicest people you,d ever meet . He,s got a really bad temper and a foul mouth , to add to it . I,m in my thirties and have family and need my job but i,m really losing my cool lately because of these issue,s i,m having with the boss . I,m not the only one that gets this sort of abuse in the job " everyone gets it ". Communication is at a lose so there is no talking to him . Any advise on this matter anyone?

Yes, you and your colleague's ask him for a meeting,,
you will have to have 'front man' for this, if nobody from your
Company wants to do the job, then get hold of the Citizens
Advice, they wil appoint an arbitrator.... then you organise
a meeting. You not say if this is a Private Company(which I presume )
If a limited Company, you and your colleagues see the Personnel/Human Resources Department ASAP !!

Be careful. Now is not the time to lose your job. If you and all of your co-workers would talk to your boss' superior en mass something will probably get done. Remember there is power in numbers. I wouldn't do it on your own. Good luck.

Tough situation. I would start putting out feelers for a new job if the hassle outweighs the satisfaction you get from the job.

Otherwise, you may just have to put up with it unless you are being harassed.

Do you work for a small business? Does your boss own the company? If so it could get a little tricky. Start documenting EVERYTHING he does. Make sure to note the date, time, event and anyone that was present. Save anything demeaning or offensive that he sends to you in writing (like a memo, e-mail, etc.) Meet with a member of the human resourses department, present them with your documentation. If the do not address and handle what is going on then you may need to get an attorney involved. If you work for a small business with no HR I would consult with your states labor board and also an attorney.

record him, and play it back to his superior, explaining that you don't want to resort to legal means, but if push comes to shove you will have no other recourse.

Get a different job.

Leave some anger management books on his desk.

Talk to him about it.

Next time he becomes abusive - speak out.
