My boss is trying to get me fired!!! Help!!!?

I currently work in a department where there are only 2 people: me and my boss. We are so understaffed that the company is supposed to add 5 new positions. Regardless of this fact, my boss gives me work as if i am at least 4 of those missing positions and she does nothing (I also get some of her personal stuff to do as well). I have asked for help and she says i do not know how to time manage or prioritize even though her deadlines are insane. I recently asked for an extension on a financial analysis that she gave me one day to complete and she told me no. Now she is starting a papertrail to make me look incompetent. She has do this to 4 past employees in her department and she succeeded in getting them fired as well. I don't know if i should go to HR because the VP of HR is one of her friends! What do i do???

I think you probably realize that unless you have some form of unionization of which you are part, you are pretty much screwed here.... you either bite the bullet or look for a new job, there's no real other help to be given.... |

i would go to hr and try to explain the situation and talk to someone other then her friend and let that detail be known to.
you may also wanna put your resume out there just to see if maybe you can find a job that is a lil easier on you.. |

contact the labor board in the state which you live in and tell them what
is going on. good luck. but if yout live in a state such as Florida, Florida has a law call the right to fire. this means an employer doesn't need a reason to fire a person |

if you go to HR, her friend is likely to sweep it under the rug. is there anyone else there that you could go to? basically, this boils down to two choices: A. talk to the boss and try to come to some sort of common ground or B. start looking elsewhere and leave when you find something comparable.
sounds to me like your boss is building a case to get rid of you and eventually she will succeed. also, it sounds like you're miserable there anyways, so you will eventually have to ask yourself what your sanity/happiness is worth? |
