What he did for the girl does not matter as that was covered under the Good Samaritan Act (except in California.) That also did not have anything to do with the street bike, he was helping the person and there is nothing wrong with that (except in California.)

However it sounds like "LATER him and a friend decided to go back and get the street bike."

This does not sound to me like evidence tampering.

Minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 7.

It depends on the crime the evidence was associated with.

At best, he could get some shock detention time of 180 days, pay a fine in the neighborhood of 1,000 - 10,000, or end up with about 5 years probation.

at worst, I'd say 3 years, heafty fine, parole after 6 months with some probation attached.

Apparently he is not as clean as you think! I mean 15 thousand dollars bond is not issued for J-walking. If he is so clean how in the heck could he be charged with evidence tampering. I will give you this, he may not be guilty, but from what little you put in your question it sounds like his going up the river for some time.

Your edit says a lot, she was thrown from a street bike, they put the bike in his car, they put her in the back of his truck (do we see a little conflict there?) and then moved her back to the street so the ambulance could get her, what the hell is going on here?

It appears that your boyfriend has enough of a reputation for the police to wonder what the motives were for the moving the bike and her and cars and trucks and everything else.

he could face anywhere from 5-15 more years for tampering or disturbing evidence. my advice might not be any good considering i really dont know the situation but my advice is to fight and stick up for him, and also PRAY.....
