Bullying should be unacceptable, no excuse.
But it goes on, and is tolerated. Involving the authorities is not always a sure-fire way of solving the problem.
The un-pc answer, is that your child probably suffers from low self esteem, and or, social illiteracy.
Spending time doing activities with your daughter will increase her self confidence, and if you do it in conjunction with other families she will be better socially.
That would be my solution for mental bullying, cannot really help you with the other. If someone were to physically mark my child, I think I would probably bring the world to end.
Seriously though, if it's physical,....Police. |

Report the case to the school administration so that appropriate action will be taken against the abusive student. |

In UK law the school has a legal duty of care to protect your daughter. If they fail to do this then they can be taken to court.
Contact a solicitor, who will write to the school and to the LEA.
Gather as much evidence as you can. Find out who is doing the bullying and find out if there are other victims.
If the bully is over 10 years old then they can be brought up on charges if an offence has been committed.
If you child has been assaulted then report it to the police. Your local police will normally have a schools liason officer. Talk to him.
Hope this helps.
Good luck. |

What about home education,or a different school?
If every child who was bullied was given a home education I believe this government would be forced to do something positve for once about bulling. |

Go into school and demand a meeting between yourself, the head teacher and the parents of the child(ren) who are doing the bullying. Hopefully once the other parents are involved it may stop, if it doesn't treaten legal action towards the child(ren) in question and towards the school for not upholding their promise of keeping a child safe while at school. |

Make your voice heard. Who at the school is not listening? Go above their heads!! Make a fuss. Your child should not have to go through that crap. Talking to the Parent's of the bully is a good idea too. If they dont do anything, or wont, maybe you should threaten with legal action. I dont really know if you can do that, but maybe it will light a fire under them and they will deal with their child. Just dont take any crap from anyone. Dont give up. |

if she's too young,i dont think u ought to change her school or get her tutored at home.she doesnt have to go through all that sh*t but then she shouldn't have to run away from it either.i think first of all,u oughta find out why they are bullying her.are they picking on her for a particular reason or.....?then go talk to the parents of those kids.i'm sure they will understand what u r on about.if they don't then,go to the principal.if nothing works out,as a last resort only, tell the school that u will report it to some prominent newspaper.......
if u dont want to get involved tho,i think it'd be great if u cud teach ur child how to defend herself without resorting to any foul language or anything or atleast ask her to ignore it.she's going to come out as a stronger person at the end of it if she's able to deal with it on her own.
good luck to u and to her.
God bless u both.i hope everything works out.... |

I fu@king hate bullies i know what i would like to tell you to do but then that would just make you as bad as them if not worse. I would suggest you harass the school to do something keep calling keep making appointments to see teachers/headmaster. Find out the names of the individuals or main individuals go and see there parents. If your child has been assaulted call the police.
I know it will be extremely hard for your daughter right now and my heart go's out to her tell her to try her best to ignore the morons they have choose her as a target because they are jealous of her. Send her to after school classes where she will be able to have friends and have a laugh without the fear of being bullied this will also help to build her confidence back up |

I would demand more action from the school, involve the bullies parents, teachers and the kids. I would also contact the police....if they are hitting your kid it is assault.
Be more assertive yourself....demand action and don't take NO for an answer!!
Go to the press.....I would be like a dog with a bit......cause uproar that your daughter is a victim and the system is failing her!!! |

When my daughter was being bullied I was confrontational and I also went to the resources officer. You can file harassment charges with the school and the police and if the bullies put their hands on her, assault. The parents will get involved with a police report of the bullying and will be held accountable. |

Is it possible to transfer her to another school? Your daughter should not have to put up with this |

Am currently going through this myself, I have contacted both the school and the parents, and have gotten nowhere. My next step is to contact the State Education Department and the police, if that doesn't help, I will be seeking the advice of a lawyer. Bullying is not to be tolerated, however as every situation is different all I can suggest is you make life at home a happy place for her. At least she will have a place of peace before going back onto the front line each day. I hope you have some luck. |

If I were her mom, I'd take her to a mother/daughter kick boxing class. Unless, of course, you aren't a fan of fighting. It's just that my experience has been to fight back. |

Schools often don't do much about it because much of bullying occurs in places that the teachers don't see, like the bus, lunchroom, hallway, playground. Try calling the principal directly or the school board.
If you can afford to move her to a different school do it, but in a way, that's letting the bullies win. It would be good for her self esteem though ti move her. Or else tell her teacher and drive her to school to try to eliminate some the times it may occur.
You can press charges against the bully if it gets bad enough, courts do take this stuff seriously, even just a warning from a cop might make them stop. If they tough her in any way, like hit her, you would definitely have a case. Don't hestitate to use your legal rights to stand up for your daughter. |

If the school isnt being helpful, put your complaint in writing to the school governors and council. I hope this situation is resolved, it would break my heart if my daughter was bullied, i cant imagine what you must be going through.
You could go public and contact the papers, but this could cause the bullying to intensify, so it may not be the way to go. |

If your child is being threatened at school, I would ask the principal very plainly what he intends to do to protect the bully when you come down there to confront him/her since your daughter has been raised w/ manners and poise and does not have that meanness in her to do it herself. This is the schools responsibility and DAMN IT we don't pay all these taxes so little johnny or joanny can go to school and be bullied or be a bully....please make some one enforce the standards that I'm sure are on their policy manual. |
|

Oh No!!!!!!!

Tell the school that you are taking notes on all your meetings with them, and anything bad happens to your daughter you will sue them.
Or you can just kick the **** out of the bullies. |

I'm sure you've already been to the school and spoken to the teachers and headteachers but have you contacted the school governors? Also make sure your daughter has someone to talk to. If the bullying is on the way to/from school, make sure she goes with someone - preferably someone big and butch. If the bullying is physical, tell the police. My son was bullied. This culminated in a violent attack on him. I did actually take him to a new school and he's fine now but I'm not sure if this is always the best answer. It depends on the age. |

try going to the education authority as you have got any satisfaction out of the school tell them everything that you got no joy out of the school if you still get no reply then contact a local newspaper hope this helps |

Almost all schools have education acts that cover this. First level would be to contact the school. Then the higher administration. From there you could file notice to sue the school and parents if the bullying does not stop. |

Meet the parents of the bully and try to resolve the problem.
if that doesn';t work, go to social Welfare. |

Make a record of all the abuse that your daughter has been subjected to and any contact that you have had with the school.Take it to your local M.P. and ask him or her to intervene on you and your daughters behalf.A decent education is a basic human right in this country and your M.P.has a moral duty to make sure that it is delivered. |

Ok first of all you need to find out why she is being bullied and when you have try and sort it out, it's usually because of what they wear or they way they talk or something stupid like that. You need to talk to your daughter and tell her you want to help this bullying stop! Then move her to a new school- if this isn't possible try and talk to the kids parents but not in an angry way because this will just make the parents worse!!!
Schools are never good at sorting out bullies- they should bring back the cane!!!!
Good luck and hope it gets sorted and thoses bullies get something they deserve!
Take care |

Hi - if the school are not listening to your problem then I think itd be best to move her. If you dont want to do this (I dont know how old your daughter is), then you can contact the schools govenors or go even higher with OFSTED, details available through Google or Yahoo. Good luck, I hope you get everything sorted xx |

If you don't want to teach your daughter to defend herself then hire an illegal mexican kid to kick the S**T out of the bullies. Make sure he doesn't know your name and has a hard time recognizing you.
Bullies won't stop until someone stops them. I learned this in school when I was a 4th grader. I stopped my bully and never had problems like that again. |

I am going through the same thing with my daughter. She catches hell on a daily basis. Almost everyday I have to hold her while she cries over some stupid b*t*c*es that treat her like S**t! What's worse is that she goes to a private Christian school. How messed up is that? The bad thing is she is the sweetest person ever always there for everyone and nice to everybody. She also happens to be drop dead gorgeous so you would think she would be really popular. I don't know what to tell you b/c I am trying desperately to figure out our situation, but I can tell you that my heart truely does go out to you b/c I understand. You and your daughter will be in my thoughts. Best of luck!!! |

I really understand you side because my son is also being bullied at school and I am really concerned since he is losing his interest in going to school everyday. What I did is I talked to the school administrators and asked for the attention of the parents who bullies my son. I also registered my son to SafeKidZone so that he can easily summon for help and ask for an immediate response from friends, family and from the nearest 911 in our area if that kid will bully him again or will get into him physically. It's a good thing that I can see some improvements in my son's attitude nowadays. This is the protection I provide to my son http://SafeKidZone.com/
