Are you talking about a driver's license, or some sort of Nursing license?
If it is your driver's license, you may be able to renew it just by paying the fee, or you may have to take the tests again. Usually states have a grace period for renewal without retest.Each state is different. You would need to contact your state's DMV and find out what is needed.
If you are asking about a nursing license, contact the licensing authority in your state to find the requirements. |

there should be a time limit on how long your license can be expired. If it is not in the time frame you might have to take a retest. Do you still have the paperwork for your renewal. I would check that out if not call your state licensing board for renewal information. |

Do you mean your driver's license or nursing license?
If it's the driver's just go to the DMV or wherever you went to get your license if you're in the same state.
If it's a nursing license then I believe you either pay some fees to get it renewed or you just take the classes to get a brand new license. |

Just go to DMV and get it. My license expired in September '08, and I still haven't renewed it. So, I'm worse than you. They won't penalize you for being late. They don't care at the DMV. But if you get stopped by a policeman, then you've got problems for driving with an expired license. |

Don't wait a long time, you'll probably have to retake the tests. So just go to the DMV, pay the fee and get it renewed.
Simple as that. :) And aw, a nursing home? That's so sweet. I have family who do that. That's a good position and great way to spend your time.

What you have to do is , if they didn't send you a renewal through the mail, go down to the DMV and fill out a form for a renewal I believe there will be a charge, depending on what state you live in. Probably $ 22-25 |
