My life was threatened by my employer after I quit. What law suit do I have?

After I quit my job a manager sent me two text messages that were unbelievably profound, evil, and life threatening. I can't write them but the text ends with "I will send you to your grave bit#h." I am furious and want to take action. I still have the text messages for proof.

file a police report and save those message the police will want to copy them or reference them.

I don't think you have grounds for a suit...but you do have grounds to have him charged with making the threats. See the Police Dept.

WOAH. what kinda job did you have? or better yet, what kinda boss that would be so idiotic as to say those kinds of things? Definitely save those text messages....forget the police, I find they usually do more harm than good sadly, contact a lawyer who deals with this kind of stuff, there is probably a bar site where you can look up lawyers in your area, good luck, thats some serious words your former employer has, congrats on leaving!
