Go to the HOA in person. If they don't do anything, get a shovel and throw the sh-t back into her yard. |

Call animal control
and take a picture of the dog doing it's business that way you have proof
If the owner knows he is doing this what is her excuse for allowing to happen does she not chain the dog up ? |

If there are leash laws in your area then you would be well within your legal rights if you turned over to your county's animal control any animals that are caught on your property . |

Scoop the poop and put it on your neigbors doorstep. It's not the poor dog's fault that it's owners don't do what they are suposed to and let their dog roam the neighborhood. Do they leave their car doors open? Maybe put the poop on the drivers seat! |

I am sure there are dog repellants you can buy from the hardware store ; certain chemicals which the dogs find offensive.
What is wrong with the fence ? Do you have a fence ? |

Go to HOA in person, and if you don't get a satisfactory response then call the police department. She is breaking the law, first by allowing the dog to trespass and further by littering on your lawn. You could actually sue her if it were killing your grass etc. that might seem a little silly, but people have done it. Good Luck, hope this helps! =) |

A friend had a similar problem. He took a shovel and repeatedly placed the "remains" on the doorstep of his neighbors front porch AND next to the drivers door of the neighbors car (in just the right spots) over the course of about a week. After a few times of the neighbor having to clean up the mess off her shoes just to get to work every morning, the dog amazingly stopped showing up in his yard.
If you don't want to go that route, call the police and the SPCA and report the neighbor for trespassing and neglect.
I understand you "don't want to cause trouble" but at the same time, isn't that what your neighbor is already doing by disrepecting your property and privacy? Nobody should have to be "afraid" to walk in their own yard for fear of stepping in something that should not be there in the first place. Your yard is not her dog's "litter box" and she has to learn that. Sometimes you can't just play nice if you've already talked to her and she's not changing her actions. Assert your rights. |

This site is kind of wierd, but I think it may help you find what you are looking for and has a ton of advice on the subject (still kind of wierd though): |

Go to the next HOA meeting, and talk about your problem.
Bring some of the "evidence" with you.
Do not put any dog poop on her door step or in her vehicle.
That is vandalism, and you have no way of proving that her dog left what you are vandalizing her porch or vehicle with.
If all else fails, contact Animal Regulations, and advise them that your neighbor does not control her dog, and that it is neglected and in danger. She will get more unwanted attention than she ever thought possible. |

pound (but only if it has current ID tags so they will call your neighbor to let her know the dog is there). or 'kidnap' the dog for a day and a night. keep it in your backyard.
Don't do anything to harm the dog. Its not the dogs fault. Its the owner. |

When you see the dog poop on your lawn, take a picture of it, then go out with your shovel, scrap the poop off the lawn and fling it at your neighbor's porch or door. If they come out and complain, say, Oops! My Bad! I was just trying to put it back in your yard.
After a few times, the neighbor should get the message. |
