Need advice

I need a little adice. I was sued a couple of years ago and came to a settlement through an arbitrator. I accidently was late on a payment to the lawyers by being stupid and missed one digit on the address line of the envelope so it was sent back to me an I then in turn the next day overnighted the payment through fedex. I am sure they recieved the payment but I have this distinct feeling like I'm going to get screwed by these guys because I only have a little over a year to complete the settlement payment. What would happen is they would put the payments back to zero and I would be shackled to them even longer. Is there anything I can do short of begging their forgivness of my stupidity? I'm extremely worried they are going to bleed me out of more money. Is it an acceptance of payment if they sign for the Fedex envelope or am I just grasping at straws? I would appreciate any advice on this matter. Thank You.
