I am truly sorry for the acts i committed that day. (elaborate) I do not know what got into me. I should not have attempted to leave campus. And i understand that what you were doing was the law, and trying to save me from the real things that could happen to me off campus. I could have gotten in a wreck and the school would be held responsible. I am sorry, never do it again, etc. etc. |

well, if you really felt sorry for what you've done, you wouldn't need to ask any of us for help in writing a letter. but if you're that desperate for advice, just tell him that you never meant to cause anyone harm and that you would have never forgiven yourself if something worse had happened. (and instead of just doing what you're required to do for your punishment, why don't you go the extra mile and show that you're really sorry by offering to take him out to dinner or by offering to help him around school. doing more than you're required will show him that you're honestly and truly sorry). |

Be honest and direct when you write the letter. Sincerity goes further than big words. Just write what you would say if you spoke with him and how sorry you are. |

I hope he's okay. What kind of idiot jumps in front of a moving car? I think this guy takes his job a bit too seriously. All he had to do was get your tags.
Dear Mr. xxx
I deeply regret accidentally hitting you on the morning/afternoon of (date). I'm also sorry for trying to leave school early when I knew it was against the rules. I assure that you won't have anymore trouble from me in the future. I hope your injuries are not severe.

Tell him you understand why he is only a security guard. If he had stayed in school, maybe he wouldn't try to stop cars by jumping in front of them. |

Say you are sorry and thankful that nothing serious happened. Explain to him that you will use this as a learning lesson for your future and that you hope he can over time learn to forgive you. |

Say your really sorry, it was an accident. That's all you can do really. |

The apology needs to be from you, in your own words, not from somebody else. You must take the responsibility. |

Say you knew it was wrong and you learned your lesson, or if you didn't know that you will never do it again. Also apologize for any time or pain you could have cuased him and say you will from here out obey all school rules and listen to the guards. It can be brief and should explain the truth (why you wanted to leave, and if you thought you could get away with it, and if you saw him and still tried to go).
funny situation you have there |

hahaha thats great. Umm I would suggest that you be straightforward and honest about it. Own up to your mistake. Maybe say that even if you didn't have to write the letter you still would have because you are genuinely sorry for what happened. |

I don't see why you need to write an appology. He's the fool that jumped in front of a teenager's moving vehicle. o_O
But I suppose something along the lines of your most sincere appology, and letting him know that what you did was not intentional, and was an irrational and foolish act on your part would do... |
