Could the Judge mandate a 13 year old boy to spend weekends with his non-custodial Dad who has never contributed a cent to his support? A friend is thinking of taking this child's dad to court for payments of $28. a week support is is afraid of this happening as the Dad isn't that good a dad...he never even visits his son.Thank you.

yes. they will try for visitation and/or paternity if that is brought up by the father also, even after thirteen years..

no matter if the mother or the child would not want the father to see the child.

if there is no evidence of the father being abusive or unfit is some way to see the child, there is no reason for the court to not allow that situation on the basis the mother would not like it very much.

decide if it is worth the 28 dollars if the child has no interest in seeing the father after all this time, however it may resolve future resentment.

because the likely hood of the mother receiving past child support in one lump sum is nil, and if the father ever sent a present or sent clothes, and he has those receipts, that counts as support and will be deducted.
