All cities have noise violations. Even in apartment and condos. Start documenting everything. Also if you own your condo then there is an HOA (Property Management Group). HOA's have very strict guidelines and rules about noise!!! If they get enough complaints they will be fined !! and depending who your HOA company is, the fines can be very high...... and these fines have to be paid !!! HOA's (Property Management Group) have been known to take over properties from a homeowner for fines not being paid. They have the legal right to do so !! See defenition below taken from a legal site I visited.
A homeowners' association (abbrev. HOA) is the legal entity created by a real estate developer for the purpose of developing, managing and selling a community of homes. It is given the authority to enforce the covenants, conditions, and restrictions (CC&Rs) and to manage the common amenities of the development. |

if you have talked to them and they still aren't quieting down, you can call the police and have the police come over and talk to them. you can file a noise violation. |

You can definitely contact the police, and let them know that they're disturbing the peace. |

Have you ever filed a noise complaint with the police?
If you did it a few times it might get the message across.
Also, do you rent or own your condo? Because if there is some kind of authority over the premise, take the issue to them.
The police can be an excellent deterrent. |

Contact the police everytime it gets outta hand, eventually either the police will get tired of going over there and demand they do something about it, or the people will get tired of having police knocking on their door, and chill out |

1-record(video and audio) the actions around 2-buy the gadget that measure the decibels(sound) or ask it to a musician 3- check the ordinances in your city about it 4- the state law 5-ask to the other neighbors their opinion and ask support or write their names and addresss so the cops will investigate it after, you have called the cops,my last advice:do not talk to them anymore! |

You can try the homeowners association. They have the authority to send them a letter about the complaint.
If that doesn't work you could try the noise patrol with the police department. They respond to noise issues with neighbors, but only for certain types of noise.
Good luck! |

Phone the police, contact the Home Owners Association and file a complaint, and/or get some background check information from http://www.voy.com/215511/. |

So rude. My neighbor plays his music so loud my floor vibrates and I can't hear my TV. When I knock on his door, he answers the door and before I can say anything he always says he is sorry and will turn it down. But hey..if you know its loud why do you make me come down and be the bad guy? Have respect for others if you live in a multi-family dwelling.
What are your options? Homeowners associations in condos have rules. Do you have a copy? Go to one of the board members and ask. |

a police call under the title disruption of peace should do it. the police will confront your neighbors. if that doesn't help, it may sound immature but your only real option, other than moving, may be to give them a taste of their own medicine. it hopefully will not turn ugly but you take that risk. turn your music up loud like obscenly loud. turn your tv on loud leave it on for hours etc.. stomp through the house. and when they confront you simply say oh i've adapted your ways of living, i guess its rubbed off on me. maybe if you lived quietly that would eventually rub off on me too and everything will be fine then. |

Maybe you should wake up really really early in the morning, and then bang on and kick their door really hard and then run away. Repeat the process when they go back to bed. Do this for a few days and they will soon be too tired to run around. |

I'm pretty sure u cant sue them for that unless they've damaged your property in some way. they live right on top of you rite? the best the thing to do is tell the parents or report it to the building owner. I've been there though i know how bad it can get. Youre gonna have to get through to the parents because kids never learn. Hope this helped a little bit. |

i think you should try to talk to the parents of the children and let them know how u feel and if it continues thats when you need to be more serious about it |

I know how you feel... Our upstairs neighbors used to be so quiet until their kid started learning how to walk... Now he's running up and down the hall constantly. Does that kid ever sleep? I wonder sometimes...
Do they have hardwood floors up there? I'd suggest talking to them about putting in carpet.
Good luck with that! |
