If you've listened to the news lately then it sound like the PC brigade are working on the alcohol we drink.
It wont be long before we are only allowed to buy 4 cans of beer at any one time from the shop, or half a bottle of vino without a medical note from your doctor.
Drinking alcohol will be banned in public places with-in five years, and then banned totally with-in ten.
Welcome to the new world of Great Britain. |

I suspect it'll stop there. Luckily, there is no risk from "second-hand stupidity." |

Just heard on the news this afternoon that there is a new report out that says the British are likely to all be officially obese by 2050. I guess there must be one hell of a party going on somewhere this afternoon if we're all going to be so overweight by 9.0. o'clock.
Of course the next thing is they will be declaring a new law that bans us from eating in public! |

It has already started, dress codes. It is more and more in the news about the dress of the citizens is becoming too lax. Alcohol and clothing will top the list if you ask me. |

They are thinking of making it an offense to not put the next customer sign on the supermarket conveyor belt once you have loaded your shopping on to it. |

That's a good question. My prediction is that it will get worse, particularly if we end up with a Democrat as president. But either way, you'll see quite a few more laws introduced that are wrapped in the veneer of 'public safety'.
These laws are NOT created to protect us. They are an effort to control our behavior. If the Federal Government, who has taken it upon itself to be our baby sitters, finds that it can't afford to continue the responsibility of taking care of us, it simply passes laws to control our behavior.
If we hadn't let our government take so much control in the first place, this issue wouldn't exist.

Yea and every time one of those PC Police says anything to me about my smoking, I click my heels together, raise my right hand in the air and yell "Zieg Hiel" then continue to smoke. Some times I add "when you stop breathing my air, I'll quit smoking". |

Move to Mexico! You can smoke in restaurants, stores, parks, cars, your home, wherever.
But believe it or not, with all the freedom here, you don't see people smoking even a pack a day.
It's strange: less freedom, more abuse, more freedom, less abuse. |

there is no politically correct police, smoking isnt banned just not in public areas where the smoke can assault non smokers lungs. You can still smoke outside or in your own homes. |

Smoking isn't practically banned because it is politically incorrect but because it hurts innocent people who don't smoke. If it only hurt the smokers and not the people they expose to passive smoke the why would I care what you do to your body? |

I do not want to smell that s*** in public. That is not politcally correct, it is for us who do not want to die from lung cancer. We should not have to breathe it. |

smoking is much more than a politically correct issue - it's a health issue
bottom line - if you're educated enough to find your way to Yahoo!answers then you're educated enough to know smoking is for fools
good luck |
