2 DAYS AGO MY HUSBAND AND I WERE FIGHTING PUSHING AND SHOVING EACH OTHER HE PULLED ME AND LEFT A SCRATCH ON ME BUT IT WAS MUTUAL I SCRATCH HIM TO HE CALLED THE POLICE AND THEY END UP TAKING HIM TO JAIL HIS MOM BAILED HIM OUT AND NOW HE HAS COURT NEXT MONTH I REALLY DIDI NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN I LOVE HIM SO DOES HE BUT WHAT WE NEED IS MARRIAGE COUNSELING I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN I COURT I ALREADY TALKED TO THE POLICE OFFICERS AND TO THE DETECTIVE OF THE CASE TELLING THEN I DON'T WANT TO PRESS CHARGES AGAINST HIM THAT I DON'T WANT HIM TO GO TO JAIL I TOLD THEM ALL WE NEED IS HELP LIKE COUNSELING DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT CAN I DO OR WHAT USUALLY HAPPENS WHEN THIS HAPPENS WHAT DOES THE JUDGE USUALLY DECIDE IF THIS IS HIS FIRST TIME ARRESTED FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE BUT IT WAS BOTH OF US PLEASE HELP

When the violence gets that out of hand and there are marks, the police have to take someone to jail. When your husband goes to court, go with him and tell the judge that you want to drop the charges and you really would like for the two of you to get some counseling to work on the violent outbursts between the two of you. The judge will most likely make the two of you go to court ordered counseling. Until the two of you are enrolled for therapy, I would suggest that the two of you distance yourself when you feel the urge to bring violence into the picture. Part ways and deal with your anger separately. This would be the best thing for the both of you until you can get the help you seek.

why are you YELLING ??? maybe tell the state you live in. that makes a big difference

If this is what you want then don't cooperate with the prosecutor. That means don't show up for court don't participate or give any statements to them about that night.

If they do not have the cooperation if the "victim" then they have really no case.

Update: For the record, the state don't "pick up the charges". ALL criminal charges are against the state, period. You are the victim and a witness for the STATE.

Violence against women is not tolerated, even though so many women are willing to be punching bags. He'll get probation this time, but one more call to your house and he WILL go to jail.

CALM DOWN!! Everything will be fine!! just b sure u have a lawyer and the lawyer knows you dont want him to go arrested and let the judge know it was an accident! also let him know u love hym and u dnt want him to go arrested!! Also trust GOD!!!
