Depends on the interpretation of the Koran you mean.
Intra-sectarian fighting makes the world wonder where peace is found in Islamic world. Indonesia,Egypt, China, Turkey, and other nations have common sect, and modernization.
It would be interesting if non-Muslim countries had not invaded, what progress would have been made in religious concerns.
